Who We Are ~ What We Do

Organizing Step-by-Step is dedicated to helping you organize your home, your office, and your life.  We work with both individual and corporate clients who want to reduce clutter, become better organized, and increase productivity.

At Organizing Step-by-Step we talk with each new client to identify what’s working, what’s not working, and why - and then create a plan tailored to the special talents, skills, and lifestyle of that particular individual.  We feel that organizing is never a black-or-white, right-or-wrong, my-way-or-the-highway process.

Each plan begins with a vision, for example, a place for everything, and everything in its place.  The plan then identifies specific goals to achieve the vision, and specific tasks to accomplish each goal.

Once the plan is developed, some clients are so motivated that a follow-up meeting is all they need to succeed.  Other clients prefer more frequent sessions with a more hands-on approach; they purchase a package and we work side-by-side.  All clients, however, discover that scheduled maintenance and an occasional tune-up are essential!

What to Expect

The benefits of less clutter and better organization - such as greater productivity, increased energy, less stress, better use of space, and an overall feeling of being in control - can be amazing!

I find that when my clients give themselves permission to organize the way that is intuitive and comfortable to them, and make a commitment to work with me on a regular schedule, they are successful in both reducing clutter and staying organized.  And there is room for wonderful new things to enter their lives.

Read what some of my clients say about their experiences:

“I have used the organization strategy you and I devised to start a new business … in the last six months I have sold over $300,000 and expect sales over the next year to triple.  When you are organized enough to see things clearly, it becomes possible to really make things happen, and life becomes very exciting.  I couldn’t have gotten started without you.”

“I will be your Poster child for Organizing!  If anyone had told me the impact this would have had on my worklife, I would have doubted them.  As you said, when you get rid of things you don’t need, things you do need seem to appear … ”

“My life has been significantly changed since I worked with you.  As I got rid of my clutter, another world opened up to me.  Now I seem to be more in flow and open to new possibilities.  Not only is my office less cluttered but so is my mind.  I was amazed at how it is all connected.”

The Color of Clutter Workshop

After taking a 27-question personality assessment, you'll learn if you're a red, a yellow, a blue, or a green and how this personality "color" might affect the "stuff" you keep and how you organize it.  It's a fast, fun, fascinating way to look at who you are and why you do what you do.

By the way, I also offer this workshop and a similar workshop, The Color of Communication, to businesses, clubs, and groups either at my location or yours.  Call for more information.
